Well done! This course had lots of important information and reviewing is essential for success, so let's go over some key takeaways broken down by sections in this course:
Pre-Visit:
- Each patient is texted/emailed a unique link to authenticate themselves and begin their check-in process

- Send Screeners: go to patient page → click Check-In Extension → click Hamburger button → Select “send patient forms” → click “select screeners” and select desired screeners → click “send patients forms”
- Payment Requests: for co-pays or outstanding balances, open the patient's chart → open extension and select “payment request” → select copay or outstanding balance (click on claim you are requesting) → click “send text”
Reconciliation:
- When a patient comes into the office, you can view their pre-visit status and can determine what is outstanding to give patients in the office (either on in-office iPads or on their mobile devices)
- To review a patient’s responses to clinical questions, go into their chart and click “find” → click “type” → click “clinical document” → click on the patient portal form you want to view
- To reconcile a patient's data, navigate to the patient's chart and select “expand all” in the top left corner. All of the new data will be on the right.
