Data Ingestion Process

Your data will be maintained directly in Kyruus Connect for Providers, making Kyruus Health the Source of Truth.

The Kyruus Connect ingestion process refers to how changes in data are reflected into your organization’s Kyruus Health products. Specifically, data can be ingested by one of three ways: ongoing ingestions through the nightly ingestion process, a one-time data ingest, or by manually importing it. Once you submits new data, much of the work is done, and a combination of automation (crawlers) and Kyruus Health takes over.

Key Takeaways:

  • The workflow for data ingestion: your data → automation pulls extract files from sources → extracts are posted to Kyruus Health SFTP
  • Once the data is in the SFTP, crawlers (automated Kyruus Health jobs) run to retrieve these files and Kyruus Health processes the files by applying your unique business rules
  • A "diff report" is created that shows a consolidated view of the changes that will be made in comparison to the original configuration
  • Kyruus Health will ultimately review these changes to ensure they are appropriate and will make any necessary changes
Ingestion Rate Description Example
Ongoing The data will be updated daily from the source system. This is most commonly used for data elements where the source of truth is from a system that is
maintained regularly. For example, the First, Middle, and Last names are regularly maintained within
the credentialing system.
Initial The data will be used upon the creation of a provider's profile but will then be maintained within Kyruus Connect for Providers.  This is often utilized where Kyruus Health will become the source of truth for the information, or that the Clinical Library (clinical taxonomy) is more robust than the source system. For example,
specialty is often an initial ingest because the Clinical Library contains specialties that are more
granular and better capture the provider’s practice.
One Time The data will be updated once from a source. The main use of this ingest is to aggregate data from spreadsheets and other systems that will not be
feeding into Kyruus Health regularly. Marketing data is often ingested into a provider’s profile through a one-time ingest and then maintained in Kyruus Connect for Providers after ingestion.
None Data is not ingested into Kyruus Connect for Providers. The data is solely maintained and updated within Kyruus Connect for Providers.
