Search Patterns in PMC

""

One great way of understanding patient behavior and engagement inside PMC is to look at “Search Patterns,” which can be found in the PM-Analytics Consumer Dashboard within the “Searches” tab. There you can find searches by Conditions, Specialties and “Free Text,” among others.

This will give you some great insight into what patients are looking for and will help you understand where you need to optimize your content as it relates to these particular searches.

Below you find an example:

For this healthcare organization, OB/GYN (Specialty Search) and Women’s health (Conditions) were the top searches. Because of this, the healthcare organization:

  • Ensured that their Service Line Page for Women’s Health/OB/GYN was robust with links to relevant providers in PMC
  • Ensured that all relevant Women’s Health providers were well configured (at least 12 out of 17 fields configured)
  • Proactively reached out to their segmented patient base with content geared to Women’s Health topics that drives patients via a landing page/service line page to PMC

As mentioned in our course on the FIND phase of the patient journey, there are 2 aspects on your website and PMC that drive not only SEO but also consumer engagement:

  • On your website: Optimize your content strategy with Service Line pages that link to relevant providers in PMC
  • On PMC: “Well Configured Provider”
